課程概述 |
課程內容設計上，本學期課程將探討法國大革命以迄第二次世界大戰期間，歐美視覺藝術與社會文化的互動關係，亦即以西方近現代藝術史與政治史、社會史、文化史跨領域的對話為主題。
在課程進行方式上，本學期將與上學期不同。本學期將以閱讀歷史學者所寫的藝術史專書（及拍攝的電視影集）、以及藝術史學者所寫的歷史學專書，藉由相互參照比較，探討藝術史與歷史學跨領域研究的對話。
本學期閱讀、討論的三本專書為：(1) 歷史學者Simon Shama. The Power of Art. (2) 藝術史學者
Albert Boime. Art in an Age of Civil Struggle, 1848-1871. (3) 歷史學者 Peter Paret. The Berlin Secession, Modernism and Its Enemies in Imperial Germany.

課程要求 |
1. 欲修課同學請第一週與第二週務必出席
1. 欲修課同學第一與第二週請務必出席。
2. 本學期共有兩次期中作業，作業題目一週前會公布在Ceiba作業區。作業繳交日期為5/6, 5/27晚上21:00。每次作業有兩題，每題回答長度300字。作業請透過Ceiba作業區繳交。
3. 除身體不適或特殊原因，事前得到老師同意外，作業缺交一次，本學期以不及格計算。
